PENTECOST – MAY 23, 2021

DAY OF OBLIGATION RESTORED. There is no greater gift than the gift Christ gave the world – himself. A sacrifice that has freed us from the bonds of sin and death, and a sacrifice that is truly present during the Holy and Divine Liturgy. As we prepare for Pentecost and the reinstatement of the obligation to attend Mass, let us reflect on our sacrifices this past Lent, and throughout this pandemic, and ask the Holy Spirit to ignite and guide a renewal of faith in our Archdiocese.

Our schedule continues as follows as we resume public Mass:

Saturday, 5:00 PM
Sunday, 8:00 AM
Sunday, 10:00 AM  Live-streamed
Sunday, 12:00 Noon
Sunday, 5:30 PM
Croatian Language Mass – Last Sunday of the Month at 1:30 PM

(The priests visit the sick – please call the office if you want a priest to visit you)

Daily Mass   7:30 AM  Live-streamed – Adoration will continue after daily Mass

Confessions  3:30 PM  – Saturdays

PRELIMINARY PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES:  Please bring your own mask and children over 3 years old should also have a mask. The church will be sanitized before and after masses, however, if you have wipes at home please help us by bringing them and using them at your place before and after the Mass.  Please refrain from using restrooms so that we do not create pinch points that infringe upon physical distancing. If you do use the restroom, please use the provided wipes before and after use.

DISPENSATION from the obligation to attend Mass every Sunday will remain in place for the time being. That said, this is not a dispensation from keeping the Lord’s day holy. Eventually, when the obligation is restored, those who are at risk or are possibly infected will not be expected to attend Mass. Before this occurs, clear guidance will be given. Anyone who is in an at-risk health group or does not feel comfortable attending a public gathering should stay home.

EUCHARIST: Holy Communion will be distributed by EMHCs to you at your location, thus not forming lines and occasions for contact with others.  Holy Communion will only be received in the hand.

SOCIAL DISTANCING Capacity for services is determined by the number of people who can be safely distanced from each other in any space. That said, until further notice, indoor spaces should not exceed 50% of their fire code occupancy. A minimum of 6-feet of separation, in all directions, should be observed between individuals, however, families who live together may sit together without physical distancing.

Given the number of Masses added, if you want to help with as a Lector, please contact Cathy Darnell at, if you want to help as an Usher contact the Office at 303-761-3940.

USHERS will direct you to the proper areas designated for you and your families and at the end of the Mass, they will direct you section by section for exiting the Mass.

OFFERTORYA Centralized common basket will be used at the Entrance/Exit of the locations where mass will be held including the “Drive-In” Mass.
